Short: A powerful PostcardWare tagtool, v1.3 Author: richard.downer@frontier.u-net.com (Richard Downer) Uploader: richard downer frontier u-net com (Richard Downer) Type: comm/misc Version: 1.3 Requires: AmigaOS 2.0, MUI Architecture: m68k-amigaos Distribution: Unrestricted Tag-o-Miga is a program for adding those little one-liner jokes on the end of mail messages. However, it can do much more than just taglines: * Signatures * MOOD kludges (Fidonet) * Now Playing lines * Headers * Supports multi-line and one-liner taglines * Automatic or manual selection of taglines * Supports multiple files * Totally free! Version 1.3 has the following new features: * Tagfile buffering provides a significant speed increase. * Documentation overhauled. * Now an open source release! (download TagoMigaSrc.lha or tagmsrc.zip) Version 1.3 has the following bug fixes: * String/Popfile gadget on the tagline window now works. * Fixed some bugs in tagfile handling which caused a hang. Version 1.2 has the following new features: * I now properly support Monsoon tagfiles. Treat them as one-liners; the \n sequence is now expanded in all tagfiles. * Added a 'default tagfile' type to the configuration, so you don't always need an [OPT] line in non-Spot tagfiles. * Added tagfile indexing. Picking tagfiles at random is now much faster. Index files are optional and can be overridden on a per tagfile basis. * Added tagfile buffering. Buffering is optional, and allows much faster processing of tagfiles (especially in the GUI) at the expense of increased memory usage. Version 1.2 has the following bug fixes: * Workaround for a bug in the Tag-o-Miga-Prefs program is in place. * The tagfile name string gadget in the GUI now works * On selecting [ALTLIST] taglines, the snooze pointer appears immediately instead of after a delay Version 1.1 has the following new features: * Macros (putting the name of the person you are writing to in a tagline). * Support for Unix Fortune Cookie files and Cyclone tagfiles * Recognises and doesn't interefere with the "To:" line used by Fido-to-email gateways. * Brand new GUI using MUI. Version 1.1a has the following bug fixes: * A bug which caused memory corruption has been cured. * Detailed documentation for the GUI and the Preferences tool were missing. Tag-o-Miga requires MUI. Tag-o-Miga will works with any Fidonet, Internet, etc. mail program that can use an external text editor (i.e. every program I've seen). Macros may not be compatible with all mail software.
