Introduction ============ This is a very early version of the NetNifty Web Server which will be coming to the AmigaOne around July 2003. This version uses the 680x0 processor and is for demonstration of progress only and is not an accurate representation of the features that will appear in the final product. Due to the early version of the software, it is recommended that you should not attempt to install the software unless you have a fair understanding of the Amiga operating system. This has only been tested so far on an A1200/020 with 6MB RAM and OS3.0 on version 2.2 of Genesis. Any feedback about performance on your machine would be helpful. Installation ============ 1. UnLHA the archive to the place on your hard drive where you would like the software to reside. 2. Edit your user-startup and assign "WEBPAGES:" to the place on your hard drive where the pages you wish to host are located. 3. Append the line below to your "inetd.conf" file, replacing stuph:NetNifty0.2a/NetNifty with the path of the "NetNifty" file: http stream tcp dos bin - stuph:NetNifty0.2a/NetNifty 4. Make sure that the line below is in your services file, if not then add it: http 80/tcp 5. All done! - The server should now be installed. Enjoy ;)
