Short: Launch Shoutcast streams with nice icons. Author: nickdj@glosamigagroup.co.uk Uploader: nickdj glosamigagroup co uk Type: comm/www Architecture: m68k-amigaos Version: 0.5 Contact: nickdj@glosamigagroup.co.uk Website: http://www.glosamigagroup.co.uk *Note* First upload so there may be spelling mistakes and the icons are not perfect! Requirements: ---------- An Amiga (heh heh) 68030/50+ Streamer v1.151 and assosiated programs (mpega etc) AGA or better. Introduction: --------- Think it's too difficult to listen to streamed audio on your Amiga? Can't be bothered trying to set up the browsers and messing about with scripts? Wish you could just click on something and have d one with it? This is just what you are looking for. Description: -------- Here is a collection of icons that I have made along with the simplest script. All it does is launch 'Streamer' and tells it where the stream is. It's so simple I don't know why anyone hasn't thoug ht of it yet! Installation: -------- Stick 'Streamer' in your C: drawer and put the icons where ever you want. I prefer to have them on my workbench or in an icon bar. Usage: ----- Edit the file with any text editor and you'll see one line of text which contains the IP address for the stream. Just enter/replace this information to listen to another stream. Problems: ------- Older versions of Streamer will work but you need to remove the 'file=' part. For example. C:Streamer file=http://206.98.167.99:8006 (for version 1.151 of Streamer) C:Streamer http://206.98.167.99:8006 (for older versions) Note: --- Making these icons took a little bit of work so if you use them then please drop me a line saying 'thanks'. If you like these icons and would like to make your own then please send them to me so I can add them into this archive. :-) Money would be nice but just have fun! Nick Darley-Jones
