Short: Demo of Zeewolf 2 Author: Binary Asylum Uploader: bill bennett zoology ox ac uk (Bill Bennett) Type: game/demo Architecture: m68k-amigaos This is a one-level playable demo of Zeewolf 2, to be released December 1995 by Binary Asylum. Self-booting floppy in df0:, the demo (and the full game) is not HD-installable, but works on my A1000, so should work on just about any Amiga. After boot, use the up and down cursor keys to select joystick or mouse control - joystick is easier, but mouse gives more power and flexibility. Once you select 'start game', the mission scenario is presented. Again, press up and down cursor keys to see all the mission objectives. This demo is one of the harder, more complex levels. CONTROLS: Joystick left/right/forward/back turns and flies the helicopter in that direction relative to you. (So don't try to fly it like VIRUS!) You can fly diagonally, and a single flick of the joystick will turn the helicopter and hover it in that direction. Using the mouse is similar, but harder, however the right mouse button can also be used to rev up the engine and climb. Space toggles the 3 weapon systems, 'G' toggles the landing gear and Return toggles the map screen. 'P' pauses. The map shows enemies as red dots and friendlies as yellows. GAMEPLAY: As in Desert Strike, when you shoot a building, it will release a little blue man who you should attempt to rescue - Press 'G' to land near him and pick him up. The aircraft carrier - four yellow dots - will replenish your armour by landing on the rear deck (marked X) to discharge your rescued POWs, and land on the diamond at the front for re-fuel and re-arming your weapons. The blue aircraft will follow you into battle and assist. There is also a remote tank to control: Land beside the small blue tank with aerials and when it connects to the Zeewolf you will be tele-operating a big tank. 'L' terminates the link, although dying in the tank just restores you to the helicopter. The tank has a machine gun for aerial targets and an armour-piercing cannon for ground targets.
