Introduction: Diamond GUI is a giftware graphic user interface for great MPEGA player created by Stephane Tavenard. At this time there are few programs with same purpose, but no one fulfills all my demands, so I decided to make one which will support more parameters and will be more usable. Why GUI? Well, I think that MPEGA have best audio quality, and it is best solution for users who don't like AHI sound or don't have enough CPU power for it. Its goal is to use minimum CPU time, so users, with slower Amigas can also listen MP3's. Current version supports version 3.5 of MPEGA with mpega.library 2.x, and users with PPC cards will benefit from PPC version of mpega.library, too. Requirements: - MPEGA 3.5 with mpega.library - both can be found on Aminet:mus/play - Kickstart 3.0+ - display fonts (included) - reqtools.library ((c) by Nico François and Magnus Holmgren; can also be found on Aminet) - datatypes.library - required only if you want background picture Features: - LCD like display with the most important informations (time, total time, status, track name and info...) - easy controlable playing functions - buffer play, so even users with slow Amigas can listen MP3's - main panel selectable playing options - playing lists with editing, loading and saving capabilities - real-time changing parameters (changing speed, of course, depends on priority, processor speed and compression method) - forward/backward in track positioning via slider with automatic time and percentage calculating and displaying - track repeating and random choosing - convert window for converting MPEG Audio to AIFF, WAV or PCM sample format, with progress bar, and start/stop position slider - preferences window which features other more important MPEGA settings - background picture - ID3 Tag editing What's new: 08.12.99. (v1.3) - Fixed various bugs. - Added ID3 TAG editor - Scaning song is now much faster - Moving slider while song is playing now show seek time on main window - Pause between songs is shorter - Play and Next buttons are replaced - After pause, song can be resumed with pause again or with play button - Added fast moving song in PlayList while holding Left SHIFT - Added minimized and compact mode ('F1' and 'F2') - Added hotkeys 'e'-Eject, 'p'-Playlist, 'Enter'-Play, 'space'-Pause, 'Esc'-Stop - Added Startup PlayList option - When add new song to PlayList, moving slider or pause will play wrong song. FIXED - Click inside slider now move song to that position immediately - File selector now has picture - Preferences window has changed. Now has enough place for many options. - Added background picture (at this moment it is file dgui.bsh located in PROGDIR:, but later you can choose any file). Picture is loading via datatypes, so it can be any format (ILBM, JPG, BMP.. etc.) - Added choosing remap colors and precision for background picture, if you don't have true color graphics - GUI now take care of title font height - Configuration is now saved in ENVARC:DiamondGUI.cfg, so you can delete old configuration in s: . Config is changed for last time, I hope. In future versions new config should recognize old one. This program is giftware. It is fully functional, no limitations or nag requesters, but I spend a lot of time developing this program and if you like it, and use it, please send me some money donation, or just some gift (anything you want :) ). This will encourage me to continue developing this program, and implement more nice features. If you like it and if you use it, if you have any comments or suggestions, feel free to contact me at e-mail address: dexter@afrodita.rcub.bg.ac.yu.
