Short: Print DVI files on HP-LJ (PCL5 support) Author: alesp@freeport.uwasa.fi Uploader: alesp freeport uwasa fi Type: text/tex Architecture: m68k-amigaos DviHP is a program for printing DVI files (generated by TeX) on HP LaserJet and compatibiles printers. Features ======== o DviHP downloads fonts to printer; printing is therefore much faster, especially when printing large documents. Version 2.1 uses PCL5 font compression. o User friendlyness: you can set parameters through environmental variable "DVIHPOPTS", in a command-line when invoking it from CLI or Shell, via ToolTypes when invoking it from Workbench or via graphical user interface. o It supports printing in landscape orientation. o DviHP allows you to include IFF ILBM files (raster pictures) and PostScript files in your documents. o DviHP lets you redirect output to a file, even when you're printing IFF ILBM pictures and/or PostScript files. o PCL5/PJL support and PCL5 font compression. Changes from version 2.0 ======================== o The FILE keyword can be omitted from now on. o New options XOFFSET and YOFFSET let you change initial printing position. o New graphical user interface. o Improved break (CTRL-C) handling; DviHP will now abort almost immediately - version 2.0 aborted after it has downloaded current font. o Downloaded fonts can be made permanent. o DviHP will show you which fonts have been downloaded previously. o Uses PJL (printer job language) if PCL5 switch is set. o DviHP is now capable of downloading real 600 dpi fonts. When PCL5 switch is set, compressed fonts are sent to printer. o DviHP 2.1 introduces "download files". You can pre-download some fonts. Requirements ============ o Any Amiga with OS 2.04 or higher o A HP LaserJet compatibile printer o post.library (© Adrian Aylward) for printing PostScript files Shareware ========= This program is shareware.
