Short: Fountain module for GBlanker (FIX) Author: Adam@beachyhd.demon.co.uk (Adam Dawes) Uploader: Adam beachyhd demon co uk (Adam Dawes) Type: util/blank Architecture: m68k-amigaos ** This is an update to the Fountain module I uploaded a couple of days ** ago. Due to a stupid mistake on my behalf, the module crashed quite ** a lot. :( This time I've included the right files. My apologies for ** any inconvenience caused by the previous version! This screenblanker shows a shower of multicoloured lines across your screen. You can quite radically change the look of it by editing the configuration via the preferences. The blanker is based upon the same idea I used to create a screenblanker for the PC at work, using Visual Basic. Curiously enough, I get about 6 times the performance from my 28Mhz Amiga than I do from the 100MHz 486 at work. ;) In order to use this screenblanker, you will need Michael D. Bayne's GarshneBlanker installed. I have only tested Fountain with v38.8, but it may well work with earlier versions. To install, copy the 3 blanker files ("Fountain", "Fountain.ifc" and "Fountain.txt") to the location where you keep all your other GBlanker modules. After doing this, bring up GBlanker's window and click on Quit. Now restart GBlanker, and Fountain will be added to the list of available blankers. (If you previously had the old version of the Fountain blanker installed, make sure you select another blanker (to flush the old version from memory) before you run Fountain!) I am currently working on a number of other screensavers for GarshneBlanker. Watch Aminet for more!
