Boeing 747-400 Jet Engine Sound for Flight Simulator

This is a new jet engine sound for Flight Simulator 5.x.



The new sound effect was created using Doug Stracner's 747JET1.WAV and Peter

James's B747-400.WAV jet engine sound effects, and sounds MUCH better than the

Flight Simulator original! The sound effects were mixed using "GoldWave" and

"Cool Edit Pro".



Flight Simulator 95 uses almost the same set of sounds as FS5.x does, so this

new jet engine sound will be a marked improvement for this version too.



747SOUND.ZIP can be freely distributed for any NON-COMMERCIAL purpose.



To install the new sound effect, simply copy the JET1.WAV file to your "\SOUND"

subdirectory within your main Flight Simulator 5.x directory (usually

"C:\FLTSIM5" or "C:\FS5"). You first may want to back up the existing sound

file in case that you don't like this one, but after actually hearing the new

one you'll probably not want to revert back to the original <G>.
