The aircraft is N983FL of Denver based Frontier Airlines.  My research

shows this as the last DHC-6 operated by Frontier when it was sold in 

June 1981.  Frontier began using the 19-passenger Twin Otter in 1971 

initially for service on the Northern Plains routes in northern Montana 

and North Dakota.  In all they operated nine; three -100s, one -200, and 

five -300s.  The type eventually saw use in other areas of their system.
