Parking Brake Fix for the BAe146 Panel for Microsoft FS2000 by Matthias Lieberecht Lieberecht@cw-net.de May 05, 2001 This Fix is for those Flightsimmers who had problems with releasing the Parking Brakes in FS2000. After a lot of tryings I had to find out that I couldn't solve this problem with the existing Gauges. Responsible for this problem is the electrical Panel system I've used in the Panel. Dai Griffiths wonderful Gauges are programmed for FS98. They work very good also in FS2000 but I do not know why some computers have the problem that they couldn't release the Parking Brakes. PLEASE USE THIS FIX ONLY IF YOU COULD NOT RELEASE THE PARKING BRAKES IN FS2000! DO NOT USE IT WITH FS98! Changes to my old Version / Instructions New Overhead Panel When starting the Panel you will recognize that the Overhead Panel is completely new. I've changed the APU and Starters of the BAe146 own electrical system with FS2000 Standard Starter Gauges. The new Overhead Panel does not reflect the real BAe146 Overhead Panel but now you are able to use it. I think all Gauges should be clear. The only thing I would like to say is, that you have to switch on Master, Avionics and Alternator before turn on the Fuel Pumps. You do not need to start the Generator switches on the left Overhead Panel side (beside the X-Feed switches). Those Generator switches goes on automatically after turn on the Alternator switch. Changed Annunciator Lights Well, with changing the electrical system of the BAe146 Panel it was also necessary to change some of the Annunciator lights of the Annunciator Panel. Changes are: Line 1 and 2: Here you will now find the Generator lights for Engine 1 to 4. They light up if the Engines 1 to 4 are running correct and stay on all the time the Engines running. Line 3 and 4: These Lights don't have any functions now, sorry. Line 7 and 8: These Lights don't have any functions now, sorry. Line 13 and 14: The first two Lights were formerly the Lights for the starter Pump. These two lights don't have any function further on. All other lights in these lines are not changed so they work like before. All other Lights have the same functions like in the Original Panel! Installation: Unzip the Gauges.zip to your Flightsim main Gauges directory. If you already have some of the gauges you don't need to delete them. They should be the same. In this File I have also included the Mooney_bravo.gau. This is the Mooney Gauge shipped with the Flightsimulator Professional Edition. If you have this Gauge you do not need to replace it because it's the same as the original one. I've included it for those Flightsimmers don't using the Pro Edition. Unzip the panel.cfg into the folder where you formerly installed my BAe146 Panel. You have to replace the old panel.cfg in this folder. If you like you can make a backup of this file. Feel free to send feedback or comments. I'm looking forward to your Mails to know in which part of the world this panel is used.
