NOTES



During March 1995 Nairobi based Simba Air Cargo introduced its sole

Boeing B 707-336C on the Kenyan perishable export market. It commenced

operations by flying three weekly all cargo services to Amsterdam and 

later Ostend. B 707-336C 5Y-SIM s/n 20517 is a 1971 manufactured ship

which stared its career at BOAC (later British Airways) under registration

G-AYLT. On November 1981 after only ten years of services under the British 

crown it was sold to Zairean company GKN Emu Mining where it flew as 9Q-CLY

untill August 1984 when it was acquired by Airline Air Spares.

Only one month later, on September 84 new owner became Guest Keene & Nettle

Fold, this company on Jannuary 1985 sold s/n 20517 to ZAS Airline of Egypt

where it became SU-DAD and flew untill November 1987. By that time the ship

was in fact bought by Air Hong Kong as VR-HKK. On March 1989 it was sold to

Aviation Capital Enterprises only to be leased back to Ari Hong Kong where it

served untill October 1992 when the owner retired the ship and sold it as 9G-TWO

to Gemini Airlines. The new owner leased the ship for a very short time to Phoenix

Aviation Ltd before selling it on May 1993 to Imperial Cargo Airline as 9G-TOO where

it served only six months untill November same year beeing thereafter sold once 

again to Gemini Airlines. Finally on March 21st 1995 Transasian Leasing bought the

ship and leased it to Simba Air Cargo where it is reported to be flying today.
