TWIN ENGINE HELICOPTER PANEL For the SA365N Dauphin version 2 by Ian Standfast C. 1998 This panel is based on that of the Dauphin. it is for use in Fs98 and will not work in any earlier version of Flight Simulator. My Thanks to Nick Canning for for getting the pictures of the Virgin sponsored G-HEMS Cockpit for my original attempt, and to Tony Cullen for his continued advice. Although the helicopter in FS is a single engined ship I have tried to create the panel feel of a twin. So there are two of each of the most important engine guages. Unfortunately there is a shortage of space when trying to design all these guages into such a small area and still have a panel you can see over the top of. So some of the instruments may appear a little small. I find the best way to fly the approaches with this panel is to 'slide' it to the left to hide the two vertical rows of engine instruments. This gives a much clearer field of view to the lower right of the screen. For take off and cruise use the full width of the dash, as in this phase of flight the reduced visability is not that bad. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX INSTALLATION There are two zipped files that make up the panel: the guages.zip the panel.zip Guages.zip Unzip this file and place the five guages in the guages directory of FlightSim98. They are renamed versions of the originals and should not upset the existing items. (drag and drop, don't use the file manager) If you have my original Dauphin panel you will be asked if you wish to replace three of the guages, this should be OK, but I would suggest you backup your original guages file until you are sure everything has gone smoothly. Panel.zip Unzip this file, and use it to replace the panel file of the aircraft which is to use the panel. That's it. You may find that you want to adjust the angle of the outside view by panning, as on very rapid nose high decelarations you tend to lose the horizon, but I favour the 'slide' technique as mentioned above.
