This Appendix contains background and status information on the broad spectrum of ongoing and emerging standards projects related to ISO protocols. The material contained in this Appendix is necessarily subjective representing the opinion of the author on the state of affairs in several standards projects, the results of which have yet to be readily available to users. Such information is intended to provide a perspective on the directions being taken to provide security in an ISO network environment.
