Dear SCO Customer, Support Level Supplement (SLS) PTF7061A, the winxksh Supplement, corrects the following problem: On some platforms, if UnixWare 7.0.1 is installed on a multiprocessor system without the OS Multiprocessor Support (osmp) package, and later pkgadd is used to attempt to add the osmp package, the osmp request script is killed with a segmentation violation. This problem could also manifest as other random problems with pkgadd or ISL problems. SLS PTF7061A contains: /usr/bin/winxksh /usr/bin/xksh The release notes displayed prior to installation can be found in: /var/sadm/pkg/ptf7061/install/ptf7061.txt Software Notes and Recommendations ---------------------------------- SLS PTF7061A should only be installed on: UnixWare 7.0.1 Installation Instructions ------------------------- 1. Download the ptf7061a.Z and ptf7061a.txt files to the /tmp directory on your machine. 2. As root, uncompress the file and add the SLS package to your system using these commands: $ su Password: # uncompress /tmp/ptf7061a.Z # pkgadd -d /tmp/ptf7061a # rm /tmp/ptf7061a 3. There is no need to reboot the system after installing this SLS package. Removal Instructions -------------------- 1. As root, remove the SLS package using these commands: $ su Password: # pkgrm ptf7061 2. There is no need to reboot the system after removing this SLS package.
