Support Level Supplement (SLS) ptf7616, the UnixWare 7.1.1 specfs Driver 
Supplement, addresses the following problem:

SLS ptf7616a addresses the following problems:

   Disk corruption seen with PAE on, and greater than 4GB physical
   memory (all of which is general purpose) while performing I/O on
   a VxVM block device.

   The fix is specifically for a kernel memory corrupting issue and 
   is not specific to PAE or volume manager. 
 
   Note: PAE mode is enabled by setting ENABLE_4GB_MEM=YES in /stand/boot, 
   or by issuing this during an interactive boot.

SLS ptf7616b only adds the option to install in quiet mode.

        UnixWare 7 Release 7.1.1


Installation Instructions
-------------------------

1. Download the ptf7616b.Z file to the /tmp directory on your machine.

2. As root, uncompress the file and add the SLS package to your system
   using these commands:

        $ su
        Password: <type your root password>
        # uncompress /tmp/ptf7616b.Z
        # pkgadd -d /tmp/ptf7616b
        # rm /tmp/ptf7616b

Alternatively, this SLS package may be installed in quiet mode,
that is, without displaying the release notes and asking for
confirmation.  To do this, use these commands:

        $ su
        Password: <type your root password>
        # uncompress /tmp/ptf7616b.Z
        # pkgadd -qd /tmp/ptf7616b all
        # rm /tmp/ptf7616b

3. Reboot the system after installing this SLS package.

The release notes displayed prior to installation can be found in:

        /var/sadm/pkg/ptf7616/install/ptf7616.txt


Removal Instructions
--------------------

1. As root, remove the SLS package using these commands:

        $ su
        Password: <type your root password>
        # pkgrm ptf7616

2. Reboot the system after removing this SLS package.
