Dear SCO Customer, Support Level Supplement (SLS) ptf7619b, the UnixWare 7.1.1 psm_apic Driver Supplement, addresses the following problem: On machines with an 8-way Intel Sabre motherboard, interrupts are not distributed to the eighth processor. Notes: This SLS is only applicable to machines with an 8-way Intel Sabre motherboard. This SLS will only install if the osmp package is installed. This SLS will only install if the osmp package is installed. Installation Instructions ------------------------- 1. Download the ptf7619b.Z file to the /tmp directory on your machine. 2. As root, uncompress the file and add the package to your system using these commands: $ su Password: # uncompress /tmp/ptf7619b.Z # pkgadd -d /tmp/ptf7619b # rm /tmp/ptf7619b Alternatively, SLS ptf7619b may be installed in quiet mode, that is, without displaying the release notes and asking for installation confirmation. To do this, use these commands: $ su Password: # uncompress /tmp/ptf7619b.Z # pkgadd -qd /tmp/ptf7619b all # rm /tmp/ptf7619b 3. Reboot the system after installing this SLS package. The release notes displayed prior to installation can be found in: /var/sadm/pkg/ptf7619/install/ptf7619.txt Removal Instructions -------------------- 1. As root, remove the SLS package using these commands: $ su Password: # pkgrm ptf7619 2. Reboot the system after removing this SLS package.
