Dear SCO Customer,

Support Level Supplement (SLS) ptf7669b, the UnixWare 7.1.1 SCOadmin Modem 
Manager Supplement, addresses all of the issues below.

SLS ptf7669a addressed this issue:

   1.  After changing the port speed through the SCOadmin modem 
       manager, the updated speed is not shown in the display and 
       the modem is not functioning.

SLS ptf7669b additionally addresses these issues:

   2.  Serial Manager complains about non-standard ttys.

   3.  The 115.2Kbps is lower than 57.6Kbps with serial port.

Software Notes and Recommendations

SLS ptf7669b should only be installed on:

        UnixWare 7 Release 7.1.1


Installation Instructions
-------------------------

1. Download the ptf7669b.Z file to the /tmp directory on your machine.

2. As root, uncompress the file and add the package to your system
   using these commands:

        $ su
        Password: <type your root password>
        # uncompress /tmp/ptf7669b.Z
        # pkgadd -d /tmp/ptf7669b
        # rm /tmp/ptf7669b

Alternatively, this SLS package may be installed in quiet mode, 
that is, without displaying the release notes and asking for 
installation confirmation.  To do this, use these commands:

        $ su
        Password: <type your root password>
        # uncompress /tmp/ptf7669b.Z
        # pkgadd -qd /tmp/ptf7669b all
        # rm /tmp/ptf7669b

3. Reboot the system after installing this package.

The release notes displayed prior to installation can be found in:

        /var/sadm/pkg/ptf7669/install/ptf7669.txt


Removal Instructions
--------------------

1. As root, remove the package using these commands:

        $ su
        Password: <type your root password>
        # pkgrm ptf7669

2. Reboot the system after removing this package.
