Support Level Supplement (SLS) ptf7703a, the UnixWare 7.1.1 memfs Driver
Supplement, addresses the following problems:

     1.  Panic trap E when removing >256Mb file from memfs

     2.  ls command locks on rwsleep_rdlock()

Software Notes and Recommendations
----------------------------------

ptf7703a should only be installed on:

        UnixWare 7.1.1

SLS ptf7603k MUST be installed before ptf7703a can be installed.

Installation Instructions
-------------------------

1. Download the ptf7703a.Z file to the /tmp directory on your machine.

2. As root, uncompress the file and add the package to your system
   using these commands:

        $ su
        Password: <type your root password>
        # uncompress /tmp/ptf7703a.Z
        # pkgadd -d /tmp/ptf7703a
        # rm /tmp/ptf7703a

Alternatively, this SLS package may be installed in quiet mode, that is, 
without displaying the release notes and asking for confirmation.  To do 
this, use these commands:

        $ su
        Password: <type your root password>
        # uncompress /tmp/ptf7703a.Z
        # pkgadd -qd /tmp/ptf7703a all
        # rm /tmp/ptf7703a

3. Reboot the system after installing this package.

   The release notes displayed prior to installation can be found in:

   /var/sadm/pkg/ptf7703/install/ptf7703.txt


Removal Instructions
--------------------

1. As root, remove the package using these commands:

        $ su
        Password: <type your root password>
        # pkgrm ptf7703

2. Reboot the system after removing this package.
