As a convenience i have supplied a gzip'd tar archive of files preconfigured for
use with kdm on UnixWare 7. The system administrator can replace the two files

    usr/X/lib/X11/xdm/Xsetup_0
    usr/X/lib/X11/xdm/Xsession

and add the file

    etc/rc2.d/S99kdm

from the gzip'd tar archive xdm-setup-uw7.tar.gz in this directory:

    # cd /
    # tar cf usr/X/lib/X11/xdm-setup-orig.tar usr/X/lib/X11/xdm/Xsetup_0 \
             usr/X/lib/X11/xdm/Xsession
    # gzcat /usr/local/kde/share/config/xdm-setup-uw7.tar.gz | tar xf -

After doing so, it should only be necessary to first stop and disable scologin:

    # scologin stop
    # scologin disable

Then start kdm either by changing init states or running the rc script by hand:

    # /etc/rc2.d/S99kdm
